Baby Boy

's bedroom

I bet you thought this was going to be about how the baby was born. But it isn't. It's about the bedroom. We painted it several weeks ago, and put up that border that we got at Lowe's for a dollar. I hate wallpaper, by the way, and borders are no exception. It did come out well, though. Even if I got the wrong color paint at first, and Kelsea had to go pick out the right colors.

Kelsea wanted to mention that we already had those curtains, and the curtain tie-backs were some toys we already had. They go really well, if I do say so myself. The hands and feet are magnetic, so the little animals are hugging the curtains.

This dresser we got from my dad's boss's cabin because he was tearing it down. The knobs are shaped like acorns, which is pretty awesome. (Kelsea scoffed when she read this.) My mom bought us the little wall decorations to match the border. They do match well, and we might actually put them on the wall before long. But don't expect me to post pictures of that, except perhaps incidentally, with pictures of people in the baby room. Like, you know, the baby. Which should be here soon. =D

two pics and a story

This is us before church a week or so ago. I take the time after my Sunday morning meeting, but before it's time to go, while we're all in our Sunday best, to take some pictures. This one came out well.

So did this one, which is from the week before.
Holly likes to have her picture taken. Kelsea doesn't. We will be lucky to get another picture of her before the baby is born.
Kelsea told me a funny story about Holly and Mia the other day. Holly was wearing her flower girl veil, pretending to be a bride, and told Mia to get married with her. Mia answered very nonchalantly, "um, no thanks."

I'm getting worse at this, not better

So, I thought that, with time, blogging would be easy, or I would like doing it a lot, so I would do it more. I like blogging, but I was wrong about it getting easier. Over the last few days, I've been thinking I should post some more pictures about what's been going on at our house: the new light fixture in the kitchen and the new ceiling fan (with a light) in the living room; the newly painted baby boy room; the fun flower bed that actually gives some color and charm to our front yard; or even a picture of Kelsea, who is now 8 months pregnant. But I haven't gotten to any of those things.

So leave a comment on what you'd like to see and/or hear about, or maybe say "don't muddle up the pictures with your words, just let us see what's happening," and I will try to oblige. I guess what I'm saying is I want more positive feedback. Tell me, people; what do the people want?
